The August Cup offers participants the opportunity to play at the best soccer
facility in the state of Maryland and in the surrounding metropolitan
Washington DC area - The Maryland SoccerPlex at South Germantown Recreational
Park in Montgomery County Maryland.
For
the players - The SoccerPlex features a total of 19 full size fields
seeded in thick Bermuda and bluegrass. The laser graded fields provide a
fast, flat playing surface that allow your passes to roll true to your target.
For the parents and spectators - Each of the fields feature a spectator berm along one side so that you can get the best view of the game. For you video buffs, the berms are perfect setting up your video camera tripod to catch all of the game highlights.
For everyone - Full restrooms and drink machines are available in four locations around the SoccerPlex area of the park. Easy, paved access to each field is provided from paved parking areas to nearby clusters of fields.
South Germantown Park also offers these additional activities and attractions:
Splash Park - ($) Featuring 280 ground level water jets,
fountains, waterfalls and everything required to get
totally soaked! This is an *excellent* place to cool off between
games. The splash park is open from 10am - 8pm.
Discovery Sports Center - A great place to cool down indoors while visiting the snack bar.
Golf Driving Range - ($) The Germantown golf center offers a 50 stall driving range.
Miniature Golf - ($) Featuring 36 holes across 2 courses, the miniature golf course will keep you entertained. The miniature golf course is open from 10am to 10pm.
Outdoor Play Areas - 
The park offers two outdoor play area that will keep the
little ones entertained. The Adventure Playground is large playground with
forts, castles, slides and many other features. The second play ground is a
smaller, Maryland themed playground offering all the usual playground equipment.
Basketball and Tennis - Two basketball and two tennis courts are available on a first come, first serve basis.
