All referees for the August Cup are FIFA certified USSF officials.

Guest referees not associated with the Capital Area Soccer Referees Association (CASRA) or from outside the state of Maryland wishing to officiate at the August Cup, may contact our certified assignor, Missy Lambert at 301-213-1614 or email address "assignor" at augustcup.com about being assigned to the August Cup. Officials participating in the August Cup are paid in cash at the conclusion of the tournament by CASRA.

Life Saving Information You Need to Know - AEDs and Lightning Detection System at the SoccerPlex

The August Cup Tournament requires that referees working the tournament at the SoccerPlex adhere to storm warnings provided by the lightning detection system and/or communicated by the tournament staff. Non-SoccerPlex sites will continue to use the 20 minutes from the last sound of thunder or lightning delay guidelines.
